After a decade of environmental consulting experience, Anthony (Tony) Ungerer, P.G., M.S.M., founded PETRA Environmental Consultants, Inc., whose mission statement is "Compliance Support for Industry" (for you curious ones, "PETRA" is Greek for "Peter", which means "the rock". What would you expect from a Geologist!).
Mr. Ungerer is currently the lead in the management of any environmental, health and safety (EHS) regulatory affairs for PETRA clients. PETRA concentrates on providing its clients assistance with complying with local, state, and federal environmental and safety regulations, and Environmental Management System development.
Mr. Ungerer served as Environmental Affairs Advisor to Great Lakes Graphics Association (GLGA),a Wisconsin trade association affiliate of Printing Industries of America, Inc. (PIA) and Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (GATF). His responsibilities included providing industry representation and influence when regulatory changes affecting the industry are occurring. Because of his intimate knowledge of Wisconsin’s environmental regulations and the printing industry, Mr. Ungerer has been invited to many WDNR committees and advisory groups as a non-paid advocate for the industry. His proactive efforts and representation during the regulatory development process has proven quite beneficial to the printing industry, offering significant contributions to improving the regulatory climate for Wisconsin’s printing industry.
Mr. Ungerer also sports a masters degree in business management. This degree along with his empirical knowledge, support his ability to assist organizations who wish to further develop programs related to compliance and management.
